Emefiele: DSS warns media, public

The Department of State Services (DSS) has issued a strong warning to the general public especially the media concerninh what is reported over the arrest and detention of the supended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Godwin Emefiele,
ogbomosoinsightonline.com reported that Emefiele was suspended by President Bola Tinubu few days ago to enable him to be investigated following which he was arrested by the DSS.
A terse press release titled, “Emefiele now in Police custody” and signed by Peter Afunanya PhD fsi, Public Relations Officer of DSS, it is stated, “The Department of State Services (DSS) hereby confirms that Mr Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is now in its custody for some investigative reasons.
“The public, particularly the Media, is enjoined to apply utmost caution in the reportage and narratives concerning this.”
