It’s reward for excellence, PDP chieftain, Afoo hails Ogunwuyi on reappointment as CoS

Hon Afolabi Olusola, a chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogbomoso South local government of Oyo state has described the reappointment of Chief Segun Ogunwuyi as Chief of Staff to Oyo state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, as a reward for his excellent performance in the first tenure.

In a press release signed by him, obtained by ogbomosoinsightonline.com Afoo as he is fondly called remarked that Ogunwuyi is a good subordinate who has demonstrated excellence and loyalty.

He posited that unless Chief Ogunwuyi meets and surpasses expectations he wouldn’t have been so favoured to be reappointed amid plenty of equally good people.

“Chief Segun Ogunwuyi has been a good aide to Governor Seyi Makinde; he has been exhibiting high level of excellence and had proven to be loyal to his boss. Unless you are good, meets and surpasses expectations of your job schedule you cannot survive and get reappointed for a second term when there are many other good people.”

Afoo added that Ogunwuyi “is a team player, a man of high competence and vision, who is worthy of emulation. That he continues on the position is simply a reward for hard work and excellence.”

While also congratulating Governor Makinde for his reelection Hon Afolabi charged the governor “to persist in doing well so that Omituntun 2:0 will come with a greater blessing.”

He added that “the achievements recorded by Makinde under Omitunun 1:0 are unprecedented in the annals of the state” while expressing confidence that Ogunwuyi would continue to be a pillar of support as in the second term journey.
