Alaipo of Orile-Aipo in Oriire local government area of Oyo state, Oba Thomas Onaolapo Ajadi has appealed to both the Federal and Oyo state governments to come to the aid of his community over the menace of flood.
Incessant rainfalls in recent times which have become a daily occurrence according to the Oba has engendered torrential floods in the community, located along the ever busy Ogbomoso-Igbeti road, lamenting the development has cut off them off.

On his Facebook platform this morning Alaipo wrote, “Orile Aipo in Oriire local government of Oyo state is presently experiencing environmental challenges as a result of heavy downpour overnight. Ogbomoso/Igbeti trunk A road in Aipo axis is under threat.
”I am appealing to the Oyo state government, Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) and the Federal Government to come to our aid.”

Recall that ogbomosoinsightonline.com reported earlier this week most grassroots roads in Ogbomoso as elsewhere have become dilapidated and largely unmotorable due largely to the wilful emasculation of the council areas by the state government.
It was noted that depriving the councils of their allocations by the state government over the years is a factor responsible for this anomaly therefore urging the government of Engr. Seyi Makinde to energize the local governments by granting them autonomy.
