Makinde thanks Oyo people, asks for prayer


Oyo state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has expressed appreciation to the people of Oyo state for their support in the last two years just as he beseeched the people to continue to pray for him.
The governor made this comment earlier this morning during a thanksgiving service held at the Cathedral of St. Peter, Aremo, lbadan, as part of activities marking his two years in office.


The programme was attended by many top government functionaries and politicians from across the state.
According to a post on his Tweeter handle, Engr Makinde noted, *I thank our people in Oyo state for their support these past two years and encourage them to keep praying for our administration.”

Makinde was sworn-in as governor on May 29, 2019, following his victory in the gubernatorial election in which he defeated Chief Bayo Adelabu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and others
