Accident claims LAUTECH worker

A staffer of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso died on Monday, December 14 after she was involved in an accident the previous day, Sunday, December 13 at Oke-Ado Akintola area, Ogbomoso.
The deceased identified as Mrs. Aisha Adebola Bello, of the audit department, LAUTECH was said to have been seated in her car waiting to pick her last child, a primary four boy, who was at a Qur’anic school opposite where she parked.
According to an eye witness who preferred anonymity, the woman did regularly come around to drop and pick her child at the place and had arrived before the school closed that day and was waiting inside her car ”and all of a sudden a car coming behind from the direction of the teaching hispital at top speed rammed into her car at at the back. The impact made her hit her head against the dashboard.”
It was a fatal injury, and she was said to have clasped her head shouting ”my head, my head, ” and then, ”Where is my son? Where is my son?”
She was covered in blood and was immediately taken to LAUTECH teaching hospital but she was rejected and asked to be taken to the University of Ilorin teaching hospital, Ilorin but she was rejected there too and had to be taken to UCH in Ibadan, where she died the following day.
Survived by her husband, a director at the Teaching Service Commision (TESCOM) headquarters, Ibadan, and four children, the over fifty years old woman was buried that same evening according to Islamic rites.
