A former truck driver Kege after he stopped driving was said to have relapsed to drunkenness leading to an alleged desertion by wife and children.
“He continued to take alcohol until his death,” a resident of the area told ogbomosoinsightonline.com.
On the day he died it was said he was invited over for “booze” by one Matthew opposite his residence and they were there all day long. “It was later his beheaded corpse was found by Iledele, who raised alarm and went to report at the police station,” a source said.
Both Iledele and Matthew are now in police custody as suspects. Sources at Divisional Police Headquarters, Owode, Ogbomoso confirmed the murder while disclosing that investigations into the incident had been activated.
Meanwhile, OPC leader in Ogbomoso district, Chief Babatunde Alabede a.k.a. Oosa, said the deceased was one of the old members who once was coordinator in Masifa.
“However, he ceased to be a member of OPC as he stopped attending meetings for a long time,” he stated.
