Scorner of Ogbomoso, Doyin Odebowale, goes into hiding

Dr Doyin Odebowale, the former Special Assistant on Special Duties and Strategies, to late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state, has reportedly failed to appear before the Oyo state police, which invited him alongside Tayo Oyeladun and Dr Festus Adedayo, last week.
Recall the ex-university lecturer, plunged into trouble waters after making uncharitable comments about the monarchy of Ogbomoso, while he was a guest at a radio programme, “Bosenlo,” on Lagelu FM, Ibadan.

His remarks considered highly derogatory and insulting to the exalted position of the Soun the traditional ruler of Ogbomoso, have received a lot of backlashes from different quarters, in fact, have boomeranged with a number of lawsuits being instituted against him particularly by the Oyo State House of Assembly and the Soun Ruling Houses.
Following a petition, the police also invited him along with the two others; the presenter who anchored the controversial interview, Tayo Oyeladun, and Dr Festus Adedayo, a member of the Editorial Board of The Nigerian Tribune, who also featured in another session of the socio-political programme. They were to report at the Department of the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB), state headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan.

But while Dr Adedayo and Tayo Oyeladun answered the police summon, according to ogbomosoinsightonline.com findings, the man at the centre of the hullabaloo, Dr Odebowale, failed to show up.
“He was invited for investigation but he hasn’t shown up, that is too bad,” a source informs.
“It’s believed he will however answer the police invitation,” the source adds.
