ORDF commiserates with families of Ibadan tragedy, wants cause unraveled

Oyo Ronu Development Forum (ORDF) has commiserated with the families of the deceased children of the Ibadan Funfair tragedy on Wednesday, asking relevant government agencies in collaboration with the state government to unravel the cause of the dastardly situation.

“We condemn in totality the death of over 30 children. This is unacceptable. We commiserate with the families of the deceased. We urge relevant government agencies to collaborate with the state government to probe the tragedy so as to get to its roots in order to prevent future occurrences. It is avoidable, negligence caused the stampede,” ORDF Group Managing Administrator, Mr. Olusegun Kuti Aremu a.k.a. ASK, notes in a statement he signed.

ORDF urges people to learn to imbibe doing things the correct way saying “a little commitment to more details and precautionary measures should have prevented such a tragedy of monumental proportions. It is regrettable, we have wasted the lives of promising young children due to adults failing to do things rightly. Carelessness, shirking planning in details could spark disaster. This is what we have seen.”
