Ogbomoso Parapo excited by appt of ‘good son’ Bunvic to head FG parastatal

“The appointment of Hon Olusegun Odebunmi a.k.a. Bunvic as chairman of the Ogun-Osun RIver Basin Development Authority is an exciting development because he is a good son of Ogbomosoland. He is one of the strongest supporters of Egbe Omo Parapo Agbaaye, who can be counted upon for the development of the community,” Egbe Omo Ogbomoso Parapo Agbaaye, the umbrella organization for all Ogbomoso sons and daughters including wives of Ogbomoso, remarks in a statement signed by its president, general secretary and PRO, Rt. Hon Justice Afolabi Adeniran (rtd), Chief Akintunde Okesanya and Comrade T.M. Balogun respectively.

The remark is a reaction to the appointment made Wednesday by President Bola Tinubu,

The socio-cultural association lauded the president for considering “another indigene of the town for appointment,” expressing confidence “the indigenes so appointed by President Tinubu will continue to give their best in the service of the nation.”

“Hon Odebunmi has proved his mettle in the past and will prove it again in this new assignment. Ogbomoso people extend appreciation to the president, we are solidly behind him and we will continue to pray for his success. When the various reforms being introduced begin to yield results, Nigerians we are sure will thank him,” the statement added.

Ogun-Osun RIver Basin Development Authority (O-ORBDA) is a parastatal of the federal government under the ministry of water resources and sanitation tasked with the responsibility of developing and managing the huge water resources in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun and Kwara states, with its headquarters at Abeokuta, Ogun state.
