The Friday and Monday ugly incidents in Ogbomoso, Oyo state, which directly targeted the Soun of Ogbomosoland Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III rile. The unruly behaviour of some of the misguided elements there represent the height of bestiality and monstrosity.
For a monarch striving to develop his domain committing all in his arsenal to achieve this, now to face stich bitter opposition with a with a taint of bestiality is a quirk manifest of the backwardness still deeply ingrained in some people.

But Kabiyesi do not be deterred. All men who changed their societies faced similar persecution. You have the majority of Ogbomoso with you – Christians, Muslims, Traditionalists, Atheists on your side. Do not take to heart the ignorance and mischief of the misinformed and misdirected few. The majority who desires growth, progress and development in their fatherland are solidly behind Your Majesty and praying fervently for you.
Your Majesty you have shown vigour, commitment and determination to changing Ogbomoso landscape, to amplifying development so our abode can become a model land.
We have always believed Ogun o Jalu shrine is at the root of Ogbomoso’s pervasive underdevelopment. But we are now knowing better that the defence grove the period it was put in place demanded is not the culpable force but individuals who hide under various camouflages pretending to be fighting “just” wars are the true culprits.
But by the grace and power of God they cannot halt the drive of progress this time. It’s God’s special time for Ogbomoso.
Kabiyesi, do not be dissuaded, darkness will dissolve in the face of light. God is with you. The majority people are with you. Try they will try, fail they will fail. You are the kind of Obas we yearn for – the Oba who gives and not one who seeks to collect for personal enrichment.

Oba Ghandi, consider this time has passed, do not linger dwelling on it, more may come, but they will pass too, until your vision and mission for Ogbomoso is fulfilled.
Cheers!
