Ora river which traverses the eastern part of the metropolis got its bank overflown causing the flooding.

ogbomosoinsightonline.com was at the Baaki area where the river flows through and saw a truck trapped in the water.

According to information the driver attempted to drive through but lost its way as the bridge had been flooded with water.

“The driver couldn’t pass through and was trapped,” an eyewitness said. “He tried frantically to pull out but couldn’t and could not alight from the vehicle. It was fire brigade operatives that came around to rescue the unidentified driver.”

At the same axis a commercial motorcyclist was earlier said to have been carried away, “however God saved him from perishing after a tree in the river prevented him from being washed away though he lost the motorcycle,” another eyewitness said.

Another victim at Aduinin area (Aduinin river) was however not lucky. “He parked his motorcycle and tried to feel the depth of the river with his leg, he was cautioned against such risk but he didn’t listen. In the process he was washed away,” an eyewitness also informed Ogbomoso Insight. No one knew his fate as at the time of filing this report,

At Isale Ora, named after the Ora river, a Cherubim and Seraph building and a wooden store for selling planks near the bank of the river were completely submerged but as at the time Ogbomoso Insight team got to the scene the water had receded.

Sanity seems to be returning but a gathering of clouds again is instilling fear into residents again particularly those along water courses.
