JUST IN: Gunmen strike at BCOS Ajilete FM Ogbomoso, 70yr-old guard brutalized

Armed robbers last night invaded the Ajilete 92.1 FM Radio Station of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) at Gambari, Ogbomoso, vandalizing and carting away power supply equipment and facilities.
ogbomosoinsightonline.com also learnt that the security guard, who was about 70 years old was brutalized, beaten, tied and hit with the butt of the gun in the chest.

The robbers reportedly raided the station’s power generator house, where they cut off armoured cables, and ransacked the transmitter house.
The Head of the Station’s Engineering Unit, Mr. Kabir Kasali confirming the incident informed armoured cables supplying electricity to the main building were carted away, while the Ibadan link decoder was also stolen.

Other items stolen included a motorcycle belonging to the security guard and other valuables.
The security guard is currently receiving treatment at Olorunkemi Clinic in Gambari.
