Tommy Oyelade who helped many Ogbomoso youth secured federal govt jobs dies at 79

It has been reported that Mr. Tommy Oyelade, a retired Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Aviation, is dead. He was 79.

According to a statement obtained by ogbomosoinsightonline.com, he passed away Thursday morning in Abuja where he was resident.
He also served as Commissioner Federal Character Commission representing Oyo state.

During his active years he assisted a lot of youths especially of Ogbomoso origin to get Federal Government appointment.
The deceased would have celebrated his 80th birthday in November 2024.

“Late Baba Tommy Oyelade contributed immensely to the development of human capital of Ogbomosoland by being instrumental to many Ogbomoso sons and daughters who gained employment amongst who later became Directors at Federal Ministries and Permanent Secretaries. Ogbomoso has indeed lost a rare gem and an achiever.”
He was also a close confidant of late former governor of Oyo state, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala.
