Eid-el-Kabir/Father’s Day: Onisapa felicitates Muslims, Gaa-Lagbedu Baptist Church pastor

Onisapa of Isapa in Ogbomoso South local government area of Oyo state, Oba Bolarinwa Ezekiel Olajide Olajide I, has congratulated the under-shepherd of Gaa-Lagbedu Baptist Church, Ogbomoso, Rev’d Hezekiah Olaniran, where he attends and all fathers in the church for being part of the 2024 Father’s Day celebration.

This is as he felicitates Muslims on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir, which came up throughout the world today.
Oba Olajide, in a press statement he signed and made available to ogbomosoinsightonline.com, noted that the twin celebrations are significant affirming “they are celebration of our essence as religious people and humans.”
He said, “The Ileya festival is a significant festival as it is commemoration of an important milestone in the evolution of Islam.”
The Onisapa urges that the many lessons embedded in the Ileya festival should be imbibed and made to reflect in the day-to-day living of everyone.

He further admonishes, “Nigeria is at a crossroad but we can overcome our challenges by building love irrespective of religion or tribe. Let us forge religious understanding, foster cooperation and exemplify kindness. If we truly allow the teachings of Allah to pervade and guide our lives Nigeria will be a better place for us.
“Eid-el-Kabir is a festival reminding us of the sacrifice of Prophet Abraham/Ibrahim, we should emulate his spirit of sacrifice and serve God and our fellow humans. Once again l congratulate all Muslim faithful on the occasion of the 2024 Ileya festival. Emi o se opo re o.”

Rejoicing with Rev’d Olaniran on the Father’s Day commemoration he describes him as a “father who is one indeed.”
He says the cleric’s many spiritual children are celebrating him and praying for him, adding, “As they say as a father he is a superhero. He feeds us well with spiritual foods. His admonitions are light unto our path. I pray God will continue to uphold him and his biological family, all other fathers and every member of Gaa Lagbedu Baptist Church.”
Oba Olajide charges fathers to be fathers who provide for their families and protect them.
“I encourage fathers not to relent in making sacrifices for their families. They should accept their sacred responsibilities of providing for their families, protect them and care for them. They should prioritize their welfare and support the education of their children. I pray we will live to celebrate together many more Father’s Day in the years ahead,” the Oba stated.
