Alaaje congratulates Ogbomoso North chairman, LAUTECH VC, charges on ‘legacy performance’

Alaaje of Aaje, a.k.a. Ologo, in Ogbomoso North local government, HRH Reuben Adesina Amao Osunbiyi I, dss dir rtd, fsi, has felicitated the duo of Hon George Gbadegesin Ogunlade and Professor Rasaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu for their recent elevations.

While Hon Ogunlade was sworn-in as chairman of Ogbomoso North local government, Professor Kalilu was confirmed as substantive Vice Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, by the Oyo state governor Engr Seyi Makinde.
In a press statement he personally signed, and made available to ogbomosoinsightonline.com, Oba Amao Osunbiyi I observed the emergence of the two are well deserved “looking at their antecedents.”
Alaaje said, “I am excited about the emergence of Hon George Gbadegesin Ogunlade as Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government. I have known him for quite some time and l have found him a man driven by dedication, focus and commitment.
“He is a man whose courage and hardwork stance l have always admired. I know with his character he will record monumental successes as our next chairman,” while also congratulating the newly elected councillors and other appointed officers in the council area.

Speaking on the appointment of Prof Kalilu, he noted, “Professor Rom Kalilu is a square peg in a square hole. At this time l see him as the best for the position. His one year as Acting Vice Chancellor is a watershed in the history of the University. His tenure has ensured stability and tranquility.
“With his affirmation as substantive Vice Chancellor l am sure the University will be ushered into a new era of unprecedented progress and development. He is a focused and dedicated man who will bring newness to LAUTECH. He is intensifying efforts to internationalize the University and get corporate bodies’ participation. It is a new dawn.

“I congratulate other principal officers appointed alongside him. I am happy they all emerged based on merit, as their emergence was through thorough competitiveness. Therefore, on behalf of my family and all people of Aaje Ologo, who are excited by glory, I wish you all successful tenures. Congratulations sirs and mas,” he stated.
Concluding he said, “l challenge you all, my chairman, my vice chancellor, the councillors, and other principal officers at LAUTECH, on legacy performance that will give off legacy projects. It is what you do whether good or bad that people will remember you for. I earnestly plead with you to do well and bequeath enduring legacies.”
Meanwhile, the former Director of Department of State Services (DSS) has called on the helmsman of LAUTECH to consider partnership with Aaje Ologo positing there are areas that could be explored for mutual benefits.

“Many of the students grew up in cities and megacities oblivious of rural lives. We have a big modern hall in the palace of Aaje which we are ready to make available for various programmes involving students such as outreaches, seminars, workshops and so on. Our environment is serene, ideal for such events.
“Also, students will be exposed to the other side of life, agrarian living. In addition, medical personnel and students could consider our community for medical outreaches. This is as farming outreaches can be hosted for students in agricultural sciences for on-field experiences.
“Furthermore, I am an expert in security and l have been involved in giving talks on security tips, we can avail students and even security staff of the institution of our expertise for better performance. There are a whole lot of areas we can have collaborations. We look forward to such because in Aaje Ologo, we are trying to build a unique community inhabited by unique people under unique leadership. We are available.”
In similar vein, he called on the council chairman, Ogunlade to prioritize developments in Aaje, “such as road constructions particularly access roads, public secondary schools because our children travel far before they access secondary school education, and other things. We wish him and his team well.”
