Alaaje urges congregants to be praying for Soun, donates 2 plots to cleric

Alaaje of Aaje Ologo Oba Reuben Adesina Amao Osunbiyi 1 JP has charged Christian faithful to continue to pray for the new Soun of Ogbomosoland Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III.
Oba Amao gave the charge while speaking with ogbomosoinsightonline.com on Sunday at the appreciation service held in honour of Rev’d Johnson Aderemi Owoade of the Union Baptist Church Aaje a.k.a. Ologo, in Ogbomoso Oyo state.
Also, he donated two plots of land aside other gifts to the Rev’d Owoade in appreciation of his pastoral services.
Alaaje who attended the programme as a special guest said Christians have a duty to pray for their community, leaders – government and traditional – and so urged the congregation to be praying for the new king whose presentation with staff of office is slated for December 19, 2023.
The Alaaje also encouraged his subjects to be hardworking and see going to school and learning a trade as an obligation towards having a rewarding future.
“They should not give up going to school, learning one handiwork and continue praying for the town and the new Oba of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III.
“Praying for one’s community is an obligation and they should be praying for their leaders both government and traditional for the collective good.”

He admonished his subjects to uphold good morals and be at peace with everyone.
“Good morals is paramount and to live at peace with everyone is equally desirable.”
In his sermon titled, “Paul’s plea to the congregants,” with texts from Thessalonica Chapter 1 and Timothy 5:13 , Rev’d Dr. Olusola Olaniyan, praised the celebrant Rev’d Owoade for what he described as his courage and endurance in pastoring a church in a less-city area.
“I apprecate you for the courage, love and passion you have for God’s work as done by Paul in the Bible. Pastoring in a rural community is challenging but you you are not dismayed.”
Oba Amao who is founder of Abigail Ebun Asake Amao Widowhood Foundation went ahead to donate two plots of land, a prized trophy and monetary gift to Rev’d Owoade.
Reacting during a chat with Ogbomoso Insight the cleric expressed gratitude for the gifts presented him by the church noting he didn’t expect such a glamorous event.
He consequently urged the faithful “to continue to truthfully worship the Lord and continue striving,” saying “God will pave a way where it seems there is no way”.
