LAUTECH: Kalilu’s tenure as Acting VC extended

The Governing Council of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, Oyo state, has renewed the appointment of Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, as Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University for another period of six months.
According to a press release signed by Dr Kayode Ogunleye, Registrar and who is Secretary to the University Governing Council and Senate, the decision was taken during the Council’s 147th meeting held Friday.
The initial appointment which took effect from June 12, 2023, is expected to lapse on December 11, 2023.

With this development, the appointment of Prof. Kalilu has now been extended by another six months, from December 12, 2023 to June 11, 2024.
The Council lauded the Acting VC for what it described as his effectiveness and efficiency in administering the school.
“The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the University Governing Council, Professor Ayodeji Omole, who presided over the meeting of Council, appreciated Prof. Kalilu for effectively overseeing the affairs of the University in the last six months and charged him to continue with prioritizing the interest of stakeholders of the Institution and leading it to greater height,” the release stated.
