BREAKING: Oyo govt sued over LAUTECH agric. faculty’s relocation

The Oyo state government has been taken to court over the relocation of the faculty of agricultural sciences Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo state, to Iseyin.
According to information reaching ogbomosoinsightonline.com, parents, students and ex-students as claimants on Wednessday filed the suit marked HOG/34/2023.
The defendants in the suit include the Oyo state governor, the governing council chairman and the vice chancellor.
The claimants fault the relocation saying Iseyin did not reflect in the admission letters given to the students and as such seek the relief of the court to among others quash the directive.
Recall the agenda to relocate the faculty to Iseyin has been generating crises as parents, students, academic and non-academic staff as well as the people of host community have raised their voices against the move stridently appealing to the governor Engr Seyi Makinde, the visitor to the university, to rescind the decision.
