Trouble averted as Chief Imam leads Jumat at Ogbomoso Central Mosque
The move to stop the Jumat Service at the Ogbomoso Central Mosque, Oja’gbo, over the controversy trailing the continued stay in office of the Chief Imam Sheikh Teliat Yinus Oluwasina Ayilara, has failed.
Sheikh Ayilara is presently leading the service contrary to the directive by some Islamic leaders in Ogbomoso including the Aare Musulumi Alhaji Abdulganiy Atanda Owodunni, that the mosque be shut today pending the time the matter would be amicably resolve

However the news angered his supporters who stormed the Central Mosque since morning Friday to thwart the plan.
The police who mounted security operation at the mosque eventually succumbed “in order to avert trouble,” a source said
“We cannot afford to have Ogbomoso engulfed in crisis over the matter, it has to be resolved amicably,” it was posited.
Recall the Ayilara family has disowned the Sheikh Teliat Ayilara saying he is not one of their own.
Meanwhile many faithful were at the mosque to worship today.
