Operatives of Amotekun Corps in Oyo State Friday afternoon gunned down two suspected Fulani hersdmen at Iwere-Ile community, in Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo state, while attempting to abduct residents.
ogbomosoinsightonline.com gathered that the herdsmen had stormed the community, following which residents sent distress calls to Amotekun operatives in the area.
Residents further informed that immediately the Amotekun operatives got to the scene at about 3:30 p.m., they engaged the suspects in a gun duel, mowing down two, while three others escaped with bullet wounds.
Men of the Nigeria Police Force later arrived the scene and took the corpses away.
Residents of the town expressed gratitude to the Amotekun operatives for saving them the agony of kidnapping by the notorious kidnappers.
