News reaching the stable of ogbomosoinsightonline.com says that wife of the former three-term chairman of Ogbomoso South local government, Mr. Remi Odetomi, Mrs. Grace, “Iya Biola” has been assassinated.
She was reportedly assassinated at Ashi area of Ibadan, Oyo state capital today.
A brother to the woman, who spoke under conditions of anonymity confirmed the news to ogbomosoinsightonline.com though did not know the details.
“Yes, we heard the sad news, the woman was my sister but l don’t know the details yet.”
When the mobile line of Odetomi was called it was switched off.
Their neighbours at their Adiatu area residence in Ogbomoso informed that the former primary school teacher had not been seen in the house for about a year suggesoing she was living in Ibadan where her husband has a house and business interests.
Odetomi was also a Commissioner during the tenure of late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, and contested the House of Reps’ election in Ogbomoso in 2019 however losing to Captain Adejumo Ajao.
