NUT elections hold in Ogbomoso today

The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) will hold elections to fill various vacant positions in Ogbomoso zone today, Thursday, December 12.
According to information, the election, termed delegate conference will be held at the five local governments’ branches in the zone at different venues.
There are thirteen positions to be filled in each branch including chairman, a deputy, three vice chairmen, secretary, treasurer, auditor, PRO and so on.
The elected officers will have a four year tenure.
Meanwhile, investigations revealed that while some local branches will have candidates emerge unopposed some are expected to have stiff contests.
Elections were concluded in Ibadan zone Tuesday though it’s learnt in some local governments the elections were inconclusive as thugs reportedly invaded the venues.
