Oba Moshood Olalekan Balogun Ali Iwo, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, is dead.

He was 82 years old. He died during a brief illness few hours ago at the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan, according to reports obtained by ogbomosoinsightonline.com.

Oba Balogun, the 42nd monarch of Ibadan represented Oyo Central senatorial district between 1999 and 2003.
He ascended the throne on March 11, 2022, after the demise of his predecessor, Oba Saliu Adetunji, who died at 93 onJanuary 2, 2022.

High Chief Owolabi Olakulehin, Balogun Olubadan of Ibadan, who is top on the military line, is expected to succeed late Oba Balogun.
