Suspected Fulani man kills school’s night guard in Ogbomoso

Anglican Grammar School, Ogbomoso, Oyo state, was thrown into shock recently as the school’s night guard, simply identified as Taiwo, was allegedly murdered by an unidentified Fulani man within the school compound. He was said to be about 55 years old.
The deceased, a parent-teacher association-employed guard, according to investigations, was on duty that night when he met his untimely death through fatal dagger stabs.
“He found the Fulani man sleeping behind the school hall and woke him up to leave the school premises,” a source in the school stated. “The suspect listened to the instruction, pretended to leave but turned around to stab the guard with a dagger. The man we heard later died in his pool of blood.”
The other guard who was said to have claimed to have witnessed the incident reported to security agents, who subsequently came to evacuate the corpse for deposit in a morgue. He had since been buried by his family.

Sources at the Owode Police Station confined the incident but as at the time of filing this report it’s not certain any arrest had been made.
When contacted also, principal of the school, Mr. Abiodun Olowe, declined comment though gave indication the incident happened.
