Snapshots from Fed Poly Ayede’s permanent site, as third matric holds today

The matriculation ceremony of the Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo state will hold today, Thursday, March 27, 2025.

The ceremony, for the students admitted for the 2024/2025 academic session, which is the third edition, according to the Rector, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, in a statement by the institution’s Protocols and Public Relations Officer, Mr Sunday Adepoju, will hold at the institution’s temporary site in Iresa-Pupa, Surulere local government area of the state starting 9:00a.m.
The statement stated that procession starts at 9:00 a.m. while the event starts at 10:00 a.m.
The institution, founded in 2021 along five others during former President Muhammed Buhari administration, admitted its pioneer students for the 2022/2023 academic session into four Departments including Science Laboratory Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Science and Statistics.
During the 2023/2024 academic session, eight more National Diploma (ND) programmes were added, making 12 ND programmes. These programmed are Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Agricultural Technology, Science Laboratory Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Tourism Management Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Urban and Regional Planning, Accountancy, Business Administration and Management as well as Public Administration.
The 12 ND programmes are located in five Schools of Agricultural Technology, Science and Technology, Engineering Technology, Environment Technology and Management Sciences.

The statement added that a freshers’ orientation ceremonies heralded the matriculating ceremony, Tuesday, March 25, to Wednesday, March 26, anchored by eminent scholars and professionals.
Since its establishment, the institution has been making remarkable progress in the areas of academic excellence, infrastructure development, training and re-training, sports, among others.
In another development, snapshots from the institution’s permanent site have been released, through a Facebook account, Federal Polytechnic Ayede Ogbomoso. The permanent site at Ayede is witnessing great transformation, which is a testament of the commitment of the management led by Dr Abdulhameed. The efforts of donors and facilitators of projects whom are described as “Community stakeholders” are also recognized in the post tagged “Synergy for success.”
