BREAKING: Sun set for traditional ruler in Ogbomoso

Ologuro of Igbo-Orita in Ogo-Oluwa local government area in Ogbomoso zone of Oyo state, HRM Oba Joshua Oyerinde Beyioku JP has joined his ancestors.
Oba Beyioku passed away Sunday during an illness. He was 80 years old.
The passage of the traditional ruler was disclosed in a Facebook post by a family member Justina Adamu, “Announcing d transition to eternal Glory of Kabiyesi HRM, Ologuro of Ogbo orita in Ogo-Oluwa LG Of Oyo State *Oba Joshua Oyerinde Beyioku JP, B.Ed,DipEd* which occurred On Sun 23rd March 2025,” the post says. “Burial programme to be announced later after due rites and official consultations.. RIP a good man.”

Oba Beyioku a younger brother of veteran politician Prince Timothy Beyioku ascended the throne few years ago after returning from the north. He’s from Oyalu royal family.
He succeeded late Oba Amos Alade Oyedokun Olawuyi Durotolu I.

Olokuta, Arojo and Onda are other Oguro royal families occupying the throne in rotation.
He was survived by wife Olori Alice Beyioku, children and grandchildren.
