Ogbomoso Women’s League hails Oba Ghandi’s Appeal Court victory – ‘It’s best thing to happen to us’

Ogbomoso Women’s League has hailed the victory of His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege lll, at the appellate court in Ibadan on Tuesday as the best thing to happen to Ogbomoso at this time.

The socio-cultural group in a message signed by its leaders, Deaconess R.O. Magbagbeola (national president) and Olori O.A. Adewuyi (secretary) noted the Appeal Court judgement reflects the wish of the majority of Ogbomoso people while urging all indigenes to rally round the monarch to transform the community.

“The victory attained by Alayeluwa Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege lll at the Appeal Court over his challenger is the best thing to happen to Ogbomoso at this time. The Oba embodies the aspirations of the people of the ancient city.

“Oba Olaoye is desirous of transforming the city encapsulated in his ambitious 25 year – development plan and has been working assiduously to achieve this. This aligns with the wish of the majority of Ogbomoso people and that’s why there is spontaneous jubilation at the pronouncement of victory.
“We charge all our compatriots to support the Soun so we can change the narrative of our land. It is through that we can move higher. The victory represents only one thing and that is progress of our land. We commend the Appeal Court for delivering justice. Ogbomoso is surely on the ascendancy.”

The group pledges its continued support for the Soun asserting, “Moving Ogbomoso forward is a task that must be accomplished, we congratulate our Oba,” the release added.
