Ogbomoso Descendants Development Association ecstatic over appt of Hon Odebunmi as O-ORBDA chairman

Ogbomoso Descendants Development Association, ODDA, has sent a congratulatory message to Hon Olusegun Dokun Odebunmi a.k.a. Bunvic in the wake of his appointment as chairman of the Ogun – Osun River Basin Development Authority (O-ORBDA).

ODDA in a statement by its chairman, Air Vice Marshal (Dr) Chief Jacob Bolaji Adigun (rtd) and media/PRO, Mr. Olusegun Kuti Aremu, described the appointment as recognition of the past contributions of Hon Odebunmi, a member of ODDA, towards national development.

The club noted Odebunmi as a member of the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly and as chairman of Surulere local government marked his tenures with outstanding records of achievements.

“On behalf of the Executive Committee and Members of Ogbomoso Descendants Development Association (ODDA), we congratulate Hon Olusegun Odebunmi on his deserved appointment as Chairman of the Ogun – Osun River Basin Development Authority.

“The appointment no doubt is a recognition of the sterling performance of Hon Olusegun Odebunmi when he was a member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of Surulere Local Government.”

The statement underlines ODDA’s commitment to national growth and development emphasizing that this is underscored by the appointment of members of the association to serve in critical areas of national development.

”The association is ecstatic its members are being appointed to serve at the national level. We are committed to the development goals of the country. This is exemplified by the appointment of our members into important offices in the country.”

It therefore thanked President Tinubu assuring “Hon Odebunmi will give a good account of himself. His rich antecedent will drive his success in this national assignment.

“Under Hon Odebunmi’s leadership, O-ORBDA will strive to deliver hig quality water resource management towards boosting food security and enhancing sustainable development and provide safe and adequate water for domestic, industrial, agricultural and environmental purposes including flood control that will contribute to enhancing quality of life and promoting socio-economic development in the country, which are parts of the parastatal’s mandate.”

OORBDA is one of the twelve River Basin Development Authorities in the country saddled with the development and management of water resources in the country.
