Traditional ruler calls on FG, Oyo govt to repair bridges, roads in Ogbomoso, applauds Oba Ghandi

Onisapa of Isapa in Ogbomoso South local government Oba Ezekiel Abolarinwa Olajide 1 has appealed to the federal government to rehabilitate the badly damaged portions of the major trunk A road that passes through the city linking north and south of Nigeria.
In the same vein, Oba Olajide urged the Oyo government to come to the rescue of the people in the community to repair the damaged Osuru river bridge at Osuru area as well as Ora river bridge behind Beulah Baptist Centre.
This is as Onisapa, who is one of the earliest settlers in what metamorphosed into Ogbomoso today, applauded the Soun of Ogbomosoland Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, over his road rehabilitation initiative on the dilapidated road mentioned earlier.

In a voice message to ogbomosoinsightonline.com Oba Olajide said the mentioned two bridges have become death trap noting they needed to be urgently repaired.
He thus appealed to the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration to intervene on the rehabilitation of the broken bridges.
“The bridge over Osuru river and the one behind Beulah Bapi Centre are damaged and l want to appeal to the Oyo state government to come to our rescue,” he submitted.
The traditional ruler however cautioned drivers and other road users on the use of the road to “avoid unnecessary mishap.”
Appealing to the federal government on the damaged trunk A road which has generated much uproar in recent time, he emphasized the road is of great economic value to Nigeria and so according to him requires urgent attention by the federal government.

“I appeal to the federal government to also answer our pleas by prioritizing this important road. Its importance reflects in its humongous economic value to Nigeria. I want to state that a lot has been lost in recent weeks when it became almost impassable, the losses in terms of human life, manhour, lost goods, and what have you are incalculable.
“Trailers, tankers and other trucks spend three to four days stranded. The road is an oil that lubricates commerce in Nigeria; governments generate revenues on it so it can’t be neglected. Government must respond to fix it in earnest.”
He commended the Soun for his initiative in fixing the road to bring temporary relief, remarking, “This contribution is praiseworthy. Oba Ghandi is restoring convenience and orderliness where chaos has been reigning. I applaud his effort, it’s worthy of emulation, I beseech the people of Ogbomoso to continue to support him and take a cue from him,” Onisapa stressed.
