This was later confirmed by the zonal chairman of the association, Venerable Dr. J.S. Adegoke. “Yes, by God’s grace, 2:pm tomorrow we shall be at Soun’s Palace for the program,” Venerable Adegoke said in a WhatsApp chat Saturday.

The Oba on the day of the birthday was abroad hence the programme is being held more than a week after.

Specifically, there will prayers for Oba Olaoye, the cabinet chiefs, Christians in Ogbomosoland and Ogbomosoland in general, it is learnt.

Recall the Muslim community Friday also held a glorification prayer for him at the palace to demonstrate their support, love and loyalty.

“We love the Oba, we identify with him and since he is a man of prayer we want to join him to offer praises to God for His goodness in his life and celebrate with him on the auspicious occasion of his birthday. We are so enamoured of him because of his developmental vision and we believe prayer has a key role to play in making it a reality,” another CAN source informed.
