Ogbomoso: Joy as Imam dedicates new ground for Eid prayer – at Alubarika Loju Central Mosque

History was made Sunday as Sheikh AbdulGaneey Abdul Akeem dedicated a new Eid ground in Ogbomoso, which hosted the first Eid-el-Kabir prayer.
The new prayer ground located within the premises of the Alubarika Loju Central Mosque at Mikky Avenue, Odo-Koto, was thronged by many Muslim faithfuls for this year’s Eid prayer which was led by the cleric.

The magnificent Alubarika Central Mosque was commissioned about a year ago with the auditorium being used for Friday Jumat service and various other prayers and programmes.

In his sermon, Sheikh Abdul Akeem, popularly called Imam Alubarika Loju harped on the significance of the festival urging the congregation on the importance of faithfulness and obedience to God.

He emphasized, “Let Ileya festival remind us of the lessons of obedience and faithfulness, taking cue from how Prophet Ibrahim was willing to sacrifice his son, Ismael, to Allah. We should emulate his obedience and live in adherence to the teaching of Allah.”

The cleric also enjoined wives to be of good behaviour in “order to uphold the values of religion” assuring living right will attract rewards and goodness.
“Also, wives respect your husbands like Ismael’s mother did,” he charged.
Worshippers who spoke with ogbomosoinsightonline.com commended the initiative of Imam Alubarika Loju praying he would continue to be useful for God. “We are happy for the development. Allah is great,” they said.
