GOOD NEWS IN OYO: Massive road constructions to begin in local govts – Makinde

The Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has declared that each of the 33 local governments across the state have been directed to commence construction of 30 km inner road, which he disclosed would begin in August.

The governor made the declaration Thursday during a state address held at the house of Chiefs in Ibadan, the state capital.
Makinde stressed his administration is committed to rehabilitation of inner roads, stating that is why he had given go ahead for the projects in each local government.

He added that funds for the project had already been allocated and sitting in the respective accounts of the local governments, assuring his administration is committed to ensuring successful implementation and expressed hope it would impact the state’s economy positively, improves connectivity, provides job and enhance infrastructural development.

” I have given a nod for the rehabilitation of 30 km inner roads in each of the 33-local government of the state, with the funds sitting in each of the local government accounts, this development is expected to have a significant impact on the state’s infrastructure and economic development, creating jobs and stimulating growth in all 33 local governments.

“The construction of inner roads will enhance connectivity and improve access to essential services, promote economic growth, and boost the overall standard of living in the state” he stated.
