“His death is devastating not only because we were close but due to the fact he was a hard working, nice person dedicated to the service of God. I am still in grief,” said a sympathizer who did not disclose his name while speaking with newsmen.

He urged government and Nigerians generally to help curtail the menace of the Fulani herdsmen saying, “It is getting out of hands. This year alone l have heard about three death caused by these herdsmen in Ogbomoso. Government should protect us. It is critical, the herdsmen now snatch okada (motorcycle), destroy people’s farms with impunity and attack people in their homes. Fulanis are killing a lot of people. Nigerians must rise before people resort to self help.”
