The Ogbomoso Baptist Conference of Obas’ Fellowship has described the emergence and ascension of Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III as akin to that of the Biblical King David noting it is God that chose both.
In a congratulatory letter made available to ogbomosoinsightonline.com the Obas said as a chosen of God and in view of Oba Olaoye’s track record previously, Ogbomoso can hope to move forward while enjoining the new Oba to foster peace in the zone among traditional rulers and people generally.

“The Ogbomoso Baptist Oba’s and Chiefs Forum expresses profound gratitude to the Almighty God for facilitating your emergence and ascension to the throne of your ancestors.
What God has done is marvelous in our eyes and it our prayer that Your reign will spark prosperity, peace, surplus, growth and development in Ogbomoso and its environs.

We also thank the Executive Governor of Oyo State His Excellency Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde for approving the selection of Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III as Soun of Ogbomoso despite the many odds. The approval has brought relief to the land which we believe will transform into great things for Ogbomoso Zone.
Your past accomplishments which have become well known convince us that your reign will impact your domain with greatness in all ramifications. If you made success in the Vineyard of the Lord, in the business world, in the social circle and in the foreign land, what stops Your Majesty from making greater success in your ancestral home in terms of developmental expansion during your reign.
We can liken your emergence to the manner King David was chosen in the Bible by God. David had no dream and was not considered for the exalted throne but he was the choice of God.
