Gbede Ogbomoso kidnapping: The kidnappers were dressed in army uniform – eyewitness
More facts have emerged on yesterday’s kidnap of a medical doctor in Gbede, Surulere local government area of Oyo state.
The victim, simply identified as Dr Rasheed, was in his private clinic, Titilade Hospital, when the dare-devil criminals stormed the town dressed in army uniform
Information gathered this morning by ogbomosoinsightonline.com revealed that the kidnappers were shooting sporadically as they moved towards the popular hospital.
An eyewitness informed the kidnappers were seven in number and that their shooting made people to scamper for safety.
“So, they invaded the hospital and took away the doctor. They drove him off towards the express and abandoned their vehicle there,” the eyewitness added.
The victim is said to be a well known medical practitioner in the town with many Fulani Bororos as his customers.
The kidnappers were suspected to be Fulani herders.
Meanwhile, they are yet to establish contact with the family according to sources.
Yesterday’s incident makes it the second kidnap case in the space of one week in Ogbomoso area.
