BREAKING: Akala farm’s supervisor regains freedom, narrates ordeal

News reaching unveils that Christopher Bakare, the supervisor at former Governor Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala’s farm, kidnapped on Saturday evening by suspected Fulani herdsmen in the farm at Jabata, Surulere local government area had regained freedom.

A reliable source in the family disclosed that he was released this night after payment of a ransome said to be N5m.

His kidnappers initially placed N100m ransom on him but after four days of negotiations agreed to N5m.

“This morning after initially agreeing to N5m they refused again demanding N10m. But they eventually took N5m,” the source told

The ransom was reportedly taken to a forest in Otte area, at the boundary between Oyo and Kwara states along Ogbomoso-Ilorin road with the man said to have been subjected to severe beatings from.his abductors.

“I was severely tortured, tied to a tree and given no food,” Christopher Bakare reportedly narrated.
