The family of a 46 year old, has been thrown into turmoil following his disappearance from home.
Olusegun Abayomi Areo was last seen ten days ago, precisely on Saturday, June 25, while operating, believably, as a commercial motorcyclist.
Areo, a father of three, is a bricklayer but works part time as a commercial motorcyclist; he left home before 10 in the morning on the day to attend a meeting of okada operators of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital zone, the terminal from where he operates.
After the meeting, he stayed back to make some money picking passengers, since he had no bricklaying job that day.
His wife intermittently called him on his mobile line, to ask after him, but at about three in the afternoon, she couldn’t reach him again.
His younger brother, Oladimeji Areo, who disclosed he was informed the next morning, said the wife became apprehensive when he couldn’t contact him for the rest of the day.
“She kept vigil. Members of the landlords association in their area of residence, Papa Ologbin, were notified. The police were also informed, who immediately swung into action.
“We searched hospitals to check of accident incidents but no breakthrough. Up till this evening, we have not been able to locate him,” the distraught brother, Oladimeji narrated to ogbomosoinsightonline.com.
He now called on the public to help locate his brother. Any one who has information that can help in locating the missing man he said should contact the nearest police station or call his mobile line – 07062030077 or 08038031627.
Police sources confirmed the sad occurrence at the Owode Police Station, Ogbomoso.
