A strong pillar of Ogbomoso is gone, OCYF expresses shock over Akala’s death

The Ogbomoso Community Youth Forum OCYF, has expressed shock over the death of a former governor of Oyo state, Otunba (Dr) Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala.
Chief Akala it is recalled passed on early this morning at his home in Ogbomoso at the age of 71.
His demise has thrown Ogbomoso and the whole of Oyo state in general into mourning, with many lamenting the unfortunate incident.
OCYF in a condolence statement signed by its president Rev’d Peter Olaleye; secretary, Comrade Adeniji Idowu and PRO, Comrade Adebayo Adeniran, and made available to ogbomosoinsightonline.com said it was saddened by the sudden death.
*The Ogbomoso Community Youth Forum, OCYF, received with rude shock, news of the unfortunate passing of our beloved father, HE, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala, The Otun of the Source.
“Akala was known to be a very peaceful and empathic person who sympathized with those that suffered misfortune, gave encouragement to those in despair and shared whatever he had with those in Ogbomoso, and Oyo State in general.
“It is pertinent therefore that at this very traumatic period for Ogbomoso, we are also sharing in the pain of losing a political general.
“As mortals, it is difficult to come to terms with the loss of such a kind-hearted, deeply pious and beneficent politocian, who in spite of his age, was still full of life and a veritable bastion of support for the Ogbomoso and entire Oyo State.
“Akala may not have lived till the fullness of our desires for his life, yet he lived a fulfilled life of service to humanity through his numerous community engagements, nurtured his followers, children to greatness and had a good relationship with God.
“Otunba Alao Akala was a kind man and a true philanthropist, he always put others before himself. He will undoubtedly be missed.
“Our sincere condolences to the immediate family, politicians and the entire Ogbomoso people at large. Akala was a remarkable father and his passing was tragic.
“Alao Akala was one of the pillars of our community and will be missed, it saddens us when we heard he passed on. Rest in peace, the Otun of the source.
“On behalf of Ogbomoso Community Youth Forum family, we offer our sincere condolences at this most challenging time while praying that Akala finds eternal rest in heaven.”
