An extraordinary monarch has departed, Femi Onireti mourns Soun

Mr. Femi Onireti, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has described the late Oba of Ogbomosoland as an extraordinary Oba, an epitome of progress whose contributions to the evolution of Ogbomoso would be difficult to match.
Onireti made this known this afternoon while reacting to the demise of Oba (Dr) Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III JP CON CFR.
Oba Oyewumi passed on this morning at the ripe age of 95 years.
Onireti stated in a press release he signed that Oba Oladunni Oyewumi’s transition was an irreparable loss positing, “The death of Oba Dr Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III is a big blow to the people of Ogbomoso and Oyo state in general.
“Oba Oyewumi was an Oba who did so much for Ogbomoso. It will be difficult to match the quantum of his achievements. It will require another great monarch to surpass his gargantuan achievements. He is indeed an extraordinary Oba, an epitome of progress.”

Femi Onireti who is aspiring to represent Ogbomoso federal constituency come 2023 sympathized with the Oloris, children, family in general, chiefs and all the people of Ogbomoso in general over the passage of Oba Oyewumi.
He also wrote, “The kinds of Oba Oyewumi are rare. His efforts in the development of Ogbomoso are extraordinary. From a middle rated town he piloted it to be an important city of repute. Furthermore his reign was marked by bravery. He was a keen-sighted Oba who would not trade anything for the progress of his city.
“We pray that another great, proud, forward-looking Oba will emerge whom we can partner with in the development of Ogbomoso.”
