House of Reps’ hopeful, Femi Onireti bags another award

Mr. Olufemi Onireti, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and philanthropist has been conferred with the ‘Award of Excellence on Community Development.’
The award was bestowed on him yesterday in Ibadan by the Oyo state chapter of the National Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
NIPR informed Onireti was conferred with the award on account of his numerous humanitarian services to the less-privileged as well as several interventionist programmes in community development both in Ibadan and Ogbomoso.

In his remark after being conferred with the honour, Onireti, represented by Mr. Omotayo Ashiru thanked the organizers while assuring he would not relent in touching lives positively and complementing the efforts of the government at the grassroots and the entire state at large.
Onireti recalls has in the last few years been making immense impact in human and community developments.
Among others the founder and chairman of Femi Onireti Foundation has been adopting and sponsoring orphans at orphanages, relieving patients at hospitals with payment of outrageous bills, donating to less-privileged homes and organizing empowement programmes which have youths, widows, women etc as beneficiaries.
The international businessman also recently reconstructed a damaged culvert at Osupa area of Ogbomoso where he hails from, installed street lights in the same area, provided six boreholes so far in the Ogbomoso federal constituency (Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire local governments) and staged an elaborate quiz competition for secondary school students in Ogbomoso constituency in which the three winners and the host school (Ogbomoso Grammar School) were presented exotic laptops aside cash gifts of N50, 000, N30, 000, N20, 000 and N10, 000 to the first three winners and others respectively.
Onireti has also paid exam fees (WAEC, NECO and UTME) of candidates in the past.
He has no doubt been a blessing to his generation.
The event which took place at the Oduduwa Hall of the Premier Hotel, Mokola Hill, Ibadan had in attendance Oyo state Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun, public relations practitioners, other awardees, editors, and other important dignitaries.
