Femi Onireti mourns as Chief Imam of Ogbomoso is buried
Mr. Olufemi Onireti has joined thousands of sympathizers in mourning the passage this morning of the Chief Imam of Ogbomosoland, Sheikh Yekeen Ashafa Adegboyega Sanusi.
Onireti described Sheikh Sanusi’s death as a big loss to the Muslim community and all inhabitants of the city.
In a press release made available to newsmen by his media consultant, Olawoyin Edris, it is stated, “The death of the Chief Imam of Ogbomoso Land, Sheik Ashafa Adegboyega Sanusi is a big loss to not only the Muslim community but to the good people of Ogbomoso Land both within and in the diaspora.”
The Peoples Democratic Party PDP stalwart noted that the late Imam was a father to all and a prominent Muslim scholar who always preached peace, unity and progress.
The Akinsi, Osupa-born politician consequently admonished the family, friends, and the good people of Ogbomoso land “to take solace in the fact that we all belong to almighty God, hence, death is inevitable.”
He prayed that Almighty Allah grants Sheik Ashafa Adegboyega Sanusi al-Jannah Fridaus.
Meanwhile, the late Chief Imam was buried this evening at his family compound at Masifa, after firdau prayer at the Ogbomoso Central Mosque.
Many top Islamic clerics including the Chief Imams of Oyo, Offa and so on led the prayers and accorded the departed the last respect.
