The Acting Provost, College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources, Iseyin, a campus of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has been named. This is just as the Acting Dean of the faculty is announced.
The announcements were made by the LAUTECH’s Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Mojeed Olaide Liasu, through a statement yesterday.
Appointed as Ag. Provost is Professor Jacob Gbemiga Adewale, who was former Rector, Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igboora while Professor Lateef Oyewole Alamu of the Department of Crop and Environmental Protection in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, LAUTECH is to serve as Ag. Dean of the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources.
Their appointments were said to have followed due process and take immediate effect.
It is recalled that the Engr. Seyi Makinde-led administration in Oyo state, announced the balkanizationof LAUTECH going ahead to name Iseyin town in Oke-Ogun as the first beneficiary of the policy adding it would host the faculty of agriculture.
ogbomosoinsightonline.com also recalls that the Makinde administration also secured sole ownership of the institution for Oyo state. This new status led to the decision to turn the university into a conventional one as well as making it multi-campus.
Adewale, a professor in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, LAUTECH, was the second Rector of OYSCATECH, Igboora, where he was said to have had a successful tenure.
